Deadlock crosshair settings

Deadlock's crosshair is configured in the in-game settings menu, and more precisely through the developer console — citadel_crosshair_pip_gap adjusts the gap between the pips, which the settings UI does not expose. Crosshair commands are client-side, so they work in normal matches.

The settings menu first

Most of what you need is in Deadlock's own crosshair settings — colour, opacity, pip length, thickness and dot. Change it there before reaching for the console; the UI values are what survive a patch most reliably.

What the console adds

The console exposes finer control than the menu. The best-known example is citadel_crosshair_pip_gap, which sets the gap between the crosshair pips — a value the settings screen has no slider for. Open the console with F7 after enabling “Dev command console” in settings; see the console guide for the full setup.

Choosing a crosshair that works

A caution

Console variable names change between builds during a playtest. If a command does nothing, it has most likely been renamed rather than removed — the community wiki tracks current names.

Common questions

How do you change your crosshair in Deadlock?
Use the crosshair section of the in-game settings menu for colour, size and opacity. For finer control, open the developer console with F7 and use the crosshair commands, such as citadel_crosshair_pip_gap for the pip gap.
What is the best crosshair in Deadlock?
There is no single best one. Match it to the weapon you use most — a tighter crosshair suits long-range hitscan heroes, a wider gap suits close-range ones where seeing past your own character matters more.
Can you import a Deadlock crosshair code?
Crosshair settings can be applied as console commands, so a shared string of commands can be pasted into the console to reproduce someone else’s setup.
